The Katittavik Town Hall was built in 2001/2002 to host the 2002 Inuit Circumpolar Conference.
With many local cultural, recreational and Municipal Office needs to address with the hall, a lot of care was taken in the design of the building to make it a true multifunction, multipurpose venue. With it’s retractable seating, the venue can be converted from a 400 seat theatre to a 4100 sq-ft conference center in a matter of minutes.
MOVIE THEATRE
With the recent addition of the Barco DLP projector, the Katittavik Town Hall is now a fully digital movie theatre. The Digital Surround and picture make the theatre an ideal place for special screenings or even a future film festival.
KUUJJUAQ TOWN HALL
The Town Hall section is a two story office space containing the main Municipal Offices; Mayor’s Office, Finance, Recreation, P.A.P.A.C, By-Law Enforcement, Secretary-Treasurer, as well as the Council/Conference Room. Also located in the Hall is the Nunavik Tourism Association, which has its Head Office on the first floor south side of the building.
